Day 34
We are about a week away from our Vision Night and the end of our Esther series, “For such a time as this!” Hopefully, God has spoken to you about the future of Watershed Church and your participation. Pray more.
Day 33
Pray for God to speak clearly to you in His Word today. Pray for strong convictions and a willing heart to receive the sharp sword of the Word, even if it hurts. God loves us deeply, and sometimes his word is hard to grasp. You might not agree with what it says, but the Bible will never steer you in the wrong direction.
Day 32
Read Hebrews 4:12. The Bible is full of hope. It contains everything we need. The good news of salvation is clearly presented to the reader. But all these wonderful elements of the Word are of no use if they are not moving from our mind to our heart and into our actions.
Day 31
Part of the reason we do not read the Bible more often is due to digital distractions in our lives. TV, computer, phones, iPads, and the like all are tools to be used for good purpose, but they also can draw us away from the Bible, church, and relationships. Pray for wisdom and self-restraint with your digital devices.
Day 30
Several times throughout the last 30 days, you have read scripture from the Bible. When was the last time you took un-rushed, uninterrupted moments to dive into God’s Word? Try soon and let its phenomenal truths bring light into your life. Many of the church family have been reading through the Bible all year. Start with the book of Esther from our series. John is good if you have never read through a book of the Bible. Pray for direction as to where you should start.
Day 29
Have you read much of the Bible? Most followers of Jesus have not read very much. Pray that God will help you to find the time and the desire to read the Bible.
Day 28

Day 26
Pray for wisdom for the church leaders at the upcoming plans and vision for Watershed Church. You get to be a significant part of the future plans.
Day 25
Why not surrender your time, your fears, yourself, to Christ right now, and ask Him to use you to reach somebody for Him today? Pray for specific divine appointments today and this weekend.
Day 24
Read Acts 10:1-8. Several times in our 40 days of prayer, you have been instructed to look for a divine appointment. When we make ourselves available to be used by God, He will orchestrate divine appointments that are not only a blessing to the person we minister to, but they also encourage us in our walk with Christ.
Day 23
Pray that God’s spirit will be poured out in a mighty way on the family members of Watershed Church. Red Hebrews 11:23-25. Find someone to encourage today. Pray that God will show you someone to invite to church. Remember the hope we have in Jesus.
Day 22
Read Isaiah 49:25. Pray that God will give your children (or your spiritual children) strength to stand against Satan’s attacks and deceptions. Pray for the safety and preservation of the faith of your children. Pray that they will catch a fire to be involved in personal mission.
Day 21
Pray that God will break the chains that hold so many people in spiritual bondage. Prayer for a full house today at church. Pray for the Holy Spirit to be poured out on your pastor and church. Pray for a spirit of prayer to saturate the hearts of all in positions of church leadership. Pray for our congregants to be receptive to what God says in church.
Day 20
Are you still praying for the seven people you selected on Day 5? We are half-way through the 40 days of prayer. The greatest challenge we have is to pray that others would come to know Jesus. Spend a few more minutes today thinking and praying for these seven individuals.
Day 19
Read Romans 12:18. Pray for your family. Are there some members you have struggles with? Pray for them specifically, and for yourself, as you seek ways to minister to them, pointing them to Jesus through your words and actions. Pray that God will help you to make peace with them.
Day 18
Will you prayerfully do the important work of intercession and ministry to your non-believing/backslidden family members? Will you commit to be more intentional in your outreach to them? Pray for courage.
Day 17
Read 1 Timothy 5:8. You have a responsibility to do all that is within your power to gently, kindly, and with much wisdom and love reach out to family members, showing them that you care, and at the right time pointing them to the truth and love of Jesus. Sometimes our best efforts are providing food and shelter. Do you know someone who needs help with physical and material needs? Ask God what more you can do.
Day 16
Reread Matthew 5:14-16. Think about your family, friends, neighbors, your co-workers. Ask God to show you who needs the light of Jesus in their life? Who should you pray for and also specifically contact this week?
Day 15
You are the light of the world. Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Read Matthew 5:14-16. Pray for opportunity to share Christ.

Day 13
The purpose of receiving God’s word and letting it transform our lives is so that we can share its good news message with the people around us. The Divine Sower makes us co-laborers with Him. Will you open your heart to receive His seeds today? Will you join His mission to share His seeds with whoever He brings across your path? Pray for an open heart to receive God’s word.
